Dr Motala graduated at the Durban University of Technology in 2009 and has been in practice since 2010.
Dr Motala was also a lecturer at The KZN Medical School for Anatomy and has participated in numerous outreach programmes in KZN.
Dr Motala is currently an examiner at DUT for nurition and Radiography.
Dr. Motala has a monthly time slot on Channel Islam International on a Saturday discussing Chiropractic related conditions.

Dr Motala is currently practicing in North beach, Durban and in her home town Stanger.
Farzana has been invited to present at the 2010 South African Chiropractic Congress in Johannesburg.
Farzana was also a part of the Straighten Up South Africa Programme which is a programme that is aimed at Junior Primary learners and helps educate them with regards to better posture and overall spinal health whilst doing all of this in a fun way for them.
Motala wrote her thesis on The Prevalence of Injuries in Volleyball players due to her love and interest for the sport.
Farzana herself has been involved in women’s cricket, volleyball and squash.
She represented KZN in women’s cricket and also played squash in the KZN league.
Dr Motala has treated many top sportsman including national capped cricketers, rugby players and athletes.
